The collision took place at the exit of Ugine, in Savoie, during a weekend of crossover on the roads of the resorts.
The gendarmes and around thirty firefighters were mobilized.
A time cut, the RD 1508, where the collision occurred, was finally reopened to traffic.
An investigation has been opened to determine the causes of the accident, which remain unknown for the time being.
