The Ashkelon Magistrate's Court today (Sunday) allowed the publication of the name of Magen Witzo nanny in Sderot, Ilana Suissa (54), who is suspected of severe abuse of toddlers who were under her care.
The suspicions against her are particularly serious - she was allegedly responsible for about 240 cases of severe abuse.
The cases of violence attributed to Suissa took place in the months of December 2022 and the beginning of January 2023. Suissa was arrested three weeks ago.
Her fourth detention extension is expected tomorrow.

The cases of abuse she is accused of were revealed after one of the mothers, Tsliil Ben Zachar, sent her son to kindergarten with a recording device and recorded the yelling, cursing and incidents of violence in the kindergarten.
Later, the recordings were handed over to the Sderot police who confiscated the security cameras - and thus the cases of violence were revealed.
"As part of the organization's zero-tolerance policy in such cases - the employee's employment was terminated immediately," Moytso said.
"We continue to operate a national professional system of supervision, control and staff training in order to prevent the recurrence of similar cases. The daycare industry is currently in a national crisis of manpower, and yet we are doing everything possible to continue giving children the best and maintain the daily routine and educational continuity. Staff training has been increased The daycare center and we are in constant contact with the parents and in full cooperation with the relevant authorities."

Attorney Kobi Ben Shaia, who represents the suspect, said: "This is a normative woman who has never had a blemish on her.
For the past 18 years, she has been working as a valued kindergarten teacher, it is not possible to draw conclusions from any routine action and give it a different interpretation.
As the picture becomes clearer, it will become clear that things are completely different."
