A 42-year-old man from Umm al-Fahm was shot to death this evening (Sunday) in the village of Jadeida Makar in the north.
A 22-year-old man was seriously injured by the shooting, the two were evacuated to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, where the 42-year-old was pronounced dead.
The police began investigating the shooting and searching for those involved, along with collecting findings at the scene.
This is a suspicion of another murder among many in Arab society.
After the announcement of the shooting, the "Abraham Initiatives" organization announced this evening that 19 Arabs took their lives in 2023 in circumstances related to violence and crime, of which 17 were citizens, and of which two were non-citizens.

Two weeks ago, a 29-year-old resident of the village of Tuba Zangria was shot dead.
He was pronounced dead at Ziv Hospital in Safed.
That same week, a 26-year-old from Kfar Aara was found shot in his car in Umm al-Fahm.
At the beginning of the month, three people were murdered in the Arab sector that day.
24-year-old Muhammad Amash was shot dead in Jasr al-Zarqa.
He was taken to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera, where he was pronounced dead.
That night Ali and Khaled Saadi, brothers aged 28 and 31, residents of Nazareth, were shot dead.
The two were evacuated to the English Hospital in the city, where they are in a critical condition and while CPR is being performed on them.
Finally, the medical team had to pronounce them dead.
The police started investigating the case and now suspect that the background is a conflict between criminals.
