The 2023 BAFTA Awards took place this Sunday at the Royal Festival Hall in London, England.

The German film "All Quiet on the Western Front" was the big winner of the night, with seven awards, including best film and best director.

"We were blessed with so many nominations and to win this is just incredible," producer Malte Grunert said onstage.

For his part, Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro took home one of the three BAFTAs he was nominated for after winning the Best Animated Film category for his version of "Pinocchio."

"The Banshees of Inisherin" was also a winner at the event, winning the supporting actor and actress awards, as well as the best original script, among others.

"Everything Everywhere All at Once," a favorite for next month's Oscars, was widely snubbed Sunday, taking only one award, for best editing.

German film "All Quiet on the Western Front" topped the list with 14 nominations, followed by 10 nominations each for "The Banshees of Inisherin" and "Everything Everywhere All At Once."

"Elvis" rounded out the field of hopefuls with nine BAFTA nominations.
