A letter sent today (Sunday) to the Director General of the Ministry of Education Assaf Tselal attacks the claims of the segregation of female students in Jerusalem on the basis of its sectarian content: "Segregation creates a feeling of deprivation and inferiority, which harms the child's dignity as a person," wrote lawyers Tal Hasin and Haran Reichman on behalf of the Association for Civil Rights in Israel.

According to the claims of female students of Mizrahi descent at the "Beit Ya'akov-Nevah Bat Sheva" school in Jerusalem, they were forced to study separately and in a branch far from their place of residence, from the female students of Ashkenazi origin, and this against the background of the sectarian situation. At the end, the lawyers asked Tzalel for an urgent answer, before starting legal proceedings.
