Starnberg - Ten years ago, the Starnberg District Office last took part in a citizen and customer survey that the Bavarian District Association regularly initiates.

A lot has happened since then – for example, the number of employees in the district administration has doubled.

After ten years, they wanted to know again: how satisfied are the citizens with "their" district Börde?

And so, in the late summer of 2022, the Starnberg District Office took part in a citizen and customer survey initiated by the Bavarian District Council.

With a very pleasing result: 92 percent of those questioned stated that they were satisfied with the services of the district office, two thirds of them even "extremely" or "very satisfied", said district administrator Stefan Frey recently in the district committee.

Despite all the challenges with increasing tasks, constantly changing regulations and framework conditions, the employees of the district office are valued as particularly friendly, helpful and cooperative,

says the summary of the results by Matthias Grund from the market research institute Ipsos.

"I'm pleased about that, because it's not easy to meet all requirements and wishes, especially in times of crisis.

I am very proud of the great and flexible commitment of our workforce,” Frey added.

Despite everyone's satisfaction: the 402 women and men surveyed also named a few suggestions for improvement.

The range of digital services and means of communication can still be expanded, and citizens want shorter processing times and better accessibility by telephone.

The parking situation didn't fare particularly well either.

The opening times, the building itself and its design, the information that can be accessed online and – also with over 90 percent – the friendliness of the staff all received good ratings.

“In some areas I can understand the requests for improvement.

We have been dealing with this very intensively for some time now,” stressed Frey.

This process was slowed down by the difficult Corona period and the care and accommodation of the many refugees since the outbreak of the Ukraine war.

The district committee was also pleased to note this result.

Christian Winklmeier (SPD) asked that there was no explicit survey of foreign citizens.
