Gisela Erika Giménez (35), a police officer in La Matanza, had denounced Nahuel Ezequiel Cruz (29) three times, who had an approach restriction and broke it.

The cell phone.

Nahuel Ezequiel Cruz (29) was looking for the cell phone of his ex-girlfriend, Gisela Erika Giménez (35).

Only he knows why he entered her house at dawn, through a window, to take it away and inspect it.

The house that the couple used to share became the scene of a crime: Gisela, a Buenos Aires police officer, defended herself with a knife and killed the young man, who violated an approach restriction by forcibly entering the

home

.

At the time of the event, Gisela was at her home in Rafael Castillo, the same one she used to share with "Keki, from whom she was estranged a few months ago.

In June it was the first complaint, when at 11:30 p.m. he felt that someone was entering through the window of his house.

She saw him rip the phone off the charger and run away.

Gisela, who was working in the Local Prevention Police Unit (UPPL) of La Matanza, ran it to recover it.

She lived in Rafael Castillo.

He, in González Catán.

Nahuel, according to the police report, punched her in the face, grabbed her by the neck and took the keys and money from her, as well as the phone.

When Gisela wanted to return to her house, he chased her away.

She reported that he continued to hit her, spit on her, and even threw a bucket of water at her.

Then, the driver of a car helped him stop: "

You sent me to the cap

," Cruz reproached him and ran away from her.

That assault earned him a complaint and an approach restriction that was never fulfilled.

Gisela, after some twists and turns in the relationship, decided to put an end to the violence again.

It was like this until February 4 when Cruz returned to Gisela's house and demanded -once again- to check her cell phone.

The policewoman refused until she hid her phone inside the bulletproof vest she wore to work.

Nahuel Cruz.

They knew him as "Keki" and he was 29 years old.

She managed to get him to go to sleep in the bed they shared but, always according to his story, he did not want her to go to work.

At 7 in the morning the struggles and fights returned.

He threatened to steal her dog if she left, so her physical attacks began again.

Injuries and bruises on one arm were the injuries found by his colleagues from Buenos Aires at the Catán police station.

The neighbors stated that the shouting, beatings and fights were constant in the house that the couple shared.

By protocol, in response to the new complaint, the officer's regulation weapon was taken away and she was given a medical license.

For this reason, Gisela was not armed when everything escalated.

Nine days later, on Monday, February 13, his ex returned home and again wanted to check his cell phone.

The woman hid it and she refused, once again, to give it up.

She turned over the closets and rummaged through all the furniture.

Since she didn't find him, she stole money from his wallet, according to her statement.

So that she wouldn't take him away, they struggled again and Cruz bit her arm.

That was the last injury they checked.

Nahuel breached the approach restriction he had with his ex.

The fatal outcome occurred this Saturday and officer Giménez was detained for a few hours.

But the prosecutor Gastón Duplaá decided not to take "any temper" against her and then he regained his freedom.

As they confided to

Clarín

, they have not yet taken a testimonial statement from the young woman, who returned home.

It all happened during the early hours of Saturday, when Cruz again went in search of the cell phone to control the woman.

As she resisted giving it to him, she started a new fight that ended with a stabbing.

Cruz died on the kitchen floor of the house they shared.

At this time they were waiting for the result of the autopsy to establish the mechanics of the crime.

The truth is that for Duplaá, it was a "

homicide in self-defense

", which is why the woman was released.

the circle of violence

Gisela lived with Nahuel in the house where everything happened.

The woman has been working in the Local Police since 2017 and, due to her complaints, she had several periods of medical leave and psychological assistance.

The relationship began a year and a half ago.

He had two children, ages 11 and 8, from a previous relationship.

The comings and goings -say those who knew them- were "constant".

"

She denounced it and immediately they became friends and came back as if nothing had happened

," they refer to the circle of violence of a courtship that was crossed by beatings.

On February 13, the woman denounced him after an episode of violence.

But just three days later she shared "in her WhatsApp states a bouquet of roses that Nahuel gave her," they said.

"They had

a very toxic relationship

. They moved to Rafael Castillo because she didn't want him to be here with his friends. Or to go to work. She supported him, she didn't let him do anything. They hit each other, treated each other badly, but they were separated for a few days and they lived together again," Luciana, a cousin of Nahuel, told

Clarín

.

The death of "Keki" caused the pain of his family and friends, who are now complaining about the decision to release Giménez.

"

This is the police who killed Keki. They lived together and Nahuel was the only person you had, you paid him rent, food, etc. The only one who took you to the cures and was in your entire accident. The only one who didn't left alone, the only one you really wanted and look how you paid him. Let justice be done, let this not come to nothing. Let it be known that what they say is a lie, "Hugo, one of the friends of the deceased, published

in social networks.

"

You drove him crazy, you denigrated him for being the way he was. You didn't know how to appreciate what the kid did for you... You did a thousand and one to keep him away from his family and friends, you got tired of driving him crazy and when he no longer served you

, You took his life

, "he questioned.

March in González Catán

This Monday, at 8:30 a.m., family and friends of the young man called a mobilization to demand justice for the death of Nahuel and give his version of the facts.

It will be in Azul at 5400, in González Catán, where he lived.

"

We ask friends and acquaintances to please come to Keki's house so that they do not cover the whole cause

," published Micaela, Nahuel's cousin.
