Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned the Moldovan authorities against slipping into anti-Russian hysteria, calling for caution about statements related to the Transnistrian region in light of the tense relations between the two countries.
RIA Novosti quoted Peskov as saying, commenting on the statements of the new Prime Minister of Moldova, Doreen Resyan, regarding the need for disarmament and the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Transnistria: “With regard to Transnistrian affairs, we continue to perform our duties, and I would recommend our counterparts in Moldova to be very careful.”
Peskov added, “We already have very tense relations with Moldova, as the Moldovan leadership focuses on everything anti-Russian, and such a lack of a constructive relationship can hardly help Moldova itself, and it also harms our bilateral relations,” stressing that Russia “was and remains a responsible country.” Extremely".
