Tragedy
: Two women in their 30s were killed today (Monday) in a car accident between a bus and a private vehicle on road 446 near the Nili quarry. Road 446 between Shukba (Ofarim) and Nili intersection was closed to traffic.
MDA medic Natan Rutter said: "It was a serious accident between a bus and a private vehicle. The two injured people who were trapped in the vehicle were unconscious, we performed medical tests on them, but they were without a pulse and not breathing, and after the rescue operations of the firefighters, we had to pronounce them dead.
The 15 bus passengers were checked on the spot by MDA teams and did not need to be evacuated to the hospital."
The carnage on the roads continued today after four people were killed in a car accident between two vehicles at the Urim intersection in the Western Negev.
A total of five people were injured in the accident.
The four dead are a 3-year-old toddler, a one-and-a-half-year-old baby girl, and a man and a woman in their 40s.
All the victims, including one moderately injured woman about 30 years old with an injury to her lower limbs, were rescued by rescue and rescue forces of the Israel Defense Forces.
