The Plastic Artists Union held an exhibition of plastic art at Al-Assad Gallery of Fine Arts in Aleppo, which included fifty paintings from various fine schools, the proceeds of which go to support the people in the areas affected by the earthquake.

Youssef Mawlawi, head of the Aleppo branch of the Union of Fine Artists, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the artists wanted to stand with their countrymen affected by the earthquake and express their support through brushes and colors, so they participated in several works inspired by the impact of the disaster.

For his part, Ibrahim Daoud, Secretary of the Union, indicated that the participation of artists is obligatory and a token of love and solidarity with those affected, as he participated in two artistic works inspired by the earthquake, in which he expressed life under the rubble through raised hands asking for help and blurry figures, and used techniques that integrate art with documenting the incident.

Noran Jabakji, Director of the Art Hall, confirmed that today's exhibition is a charity exhibition that was held with the participation of 31 artists from the veteran artistic statures and youth energies, who presented 50 paintings from different schools.

In a meeting with some of the participants, Salah Al-Khalidi expressed authenticity and love through the old Aleppo house and the Aleppo Citadel, a symbol of steadfastness, in two different paintings.

Ayman Al-Afandi found that the artist is more affected by the events that take place around him, so he only finds the brush and the colors to express himself, so he expressed with his painting the solidarity and solidarity that he witnessed after the disaster.

Among the young participants was Ibtisam Majeed, who saw that the pain is indescribable and cannot be expressed in words, but that the colors are friendly to the artist through which he can express.

As for the fine arts student, Wissam Abdel-Ghani, he found that his participation is a duty and a responsibility, and this is the simplest thing he presents. He presented two paintings, the first is a painting that radiates hope and joy, and the second is a surreal painting.
