"The Global Security Initiative concept paper explains the basic ideas and principles of the Global Security Initiative, identifies priorities, programs and mechanisms for cooperation, and demonstrates China's sense of responsibility for safeguarding world peace and its unwavering determination to defend global security," Chen said.
Chen said, "The 20 cooperation priorities set out in the concept paper can be summarized as supporting the central role of the United Nations in security governance, promoting coordination and sound interactions among major countries, facilitating the peaceful settlement of hotspot issues through dialogue, addressing traditional and non-traditional security challenges, and promoting order and ability to manage global security.”
And Chen stated that “his country never started a conflict or war, and it did not seize an inch of foreign lands, and that China remains the only country that has put a commitment to peaceful development in its constitution to this day,” stressing that “regardless of the development it achieves, China will never seek hegemony, expansion, expand its sphere of influence, or engage in the arms race, but remains an advocate of world peace.
Chen stressed that "security is a right for all countries, and that it is not a privilege for some and is not decided by any country on its own," adding: "The global security initiative aims to serve the interests of all and protect everyone, as its promotion requires the unity and cooperation of the international community."
