Hong Kong Customs took a series of enforcement actions from February 14 to 16 to combat local and cross-boundary counterfeit goods activities at different levels.
During the operation, Customs seized more than 11,000 suspected counterfeit goods at the Shenzhen Bay Control Point and Yuen Long, with an estimated market value of about $4.4 million, and arrested two men suspected of being involved in the case.
These include a large number of counterfeit NBA jerseys, Premier League and Europa League soccer team jerseys, and Rolex watches.

Through risk assessment, customs officers intercepted two incoming trucks at the Shenzhen Bay Control Point and seized two batches of suspected counterfeit goods on board, including clothing, shoes, handbags, cigarettes and spirits. The number exceeded 5,800 and arrested two Male truck drivers aged 59 and 65.
After Customs conducted follow-up investigations, Customs officers targeted a logistics company in Yuen Long and conducted a surprise search at the company. More than 5,600 suspected counterfeit goods were seized, including football jerseys, Rolex watches and accessories.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the three batches of goods will be re-exported to overseas countries. The case is still under investigation. The two arrested men are currently released on bail pending further investigation.
Customs will continue to strengthen cooperation with Mainland and overseas law enforcement agencies to crack down on cross-boundary counterfeit goods activities.
