Daraa-Sana
Today, Daraa governorate sent a convoy loaded with aid to the people affected by the earthquake in the stricken governorates, as part of the “Syria is one family” campaign.
The convoy includes 17 trucks loaded with in-kind aid, foodstuffs, clothing, shelter supplies, detergents, vegetables and fruits, which were collected by the people of the province from the first day of the earthquake disaster within the warehouses of the Berr Association and Social Services in the city of Daraa.
The Governor of Daraa, Eng. Louay Khareta, said in a press statement: “The people of Daraa are performing a patriotic message by extending a helping hand and assistance to our people in the afflicted governorates,” indicating that sending the convoy comes as a completion of the duty that the governorate has undertaken within the framework of collecting financial aid, in addition to what the volunteers have done. From the people of the province, in participation with the rescue and ambulance teams in the provinces affected by the earthquake.
Hussein Al-Rifai, Secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party branch, said in a similar statement: “Daraa is living in a state of unity and solidarity with the rest of the Syrian people by providing aid from Houran to the people in the stricken governorates.
He added, “The people of Daraa have embodied the slogan “Syria is one family” by providing aid in natural disasters and their steadfastness in the face of siege and war.
