A delegation from the Committee of Friends of the Dean of Prisoners in Israeli Prisons, Yahya Skaf, expressed their solidarity with those affected by the earthquake in Syria, and provided humanitarian aid, including clothes and shoes for children, to those affected.
The secretary of the committee, Jamal Skaf, said during their visit to the office of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in Jabal Mohsen, Tripoli, in northern Lebanon: that Syria stood by Lebanon and the Lebanese resistance that defeated the Zionist enemy thanks to the Syrian support.
Skaf called for the intensification of popular and partisan campaigns from all countries of the world in order to help Syria, stressing that history will do justice to the loyal ones who stood by Syria at this stage.
Skaf also condemned the Israeli aggression against Damascus, stressing that this aggression is a clear assault before the world public opinion on the Syrian sovereignty, in light of the deafening silence of the international community and some Arab regimes.
In his turn, Jalal Aoun, Secretary of the North Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, said: This committee never hesitated to stand by all the right issues that concern our homelands and our nation, because our conscience, patriotism, and humanity require us to be on the side of Syria.
In a related context, the National Union of Syrian Expatriates in Sweden and Europe, in cooperation with the Syrian community and Arab and foreign expatriates, and in coordination with the Syrian diplomatic mission in Stockholm, organized a relief campaign for the victims of the earthquake in Syria, entitled (Smile of Hope 4). The aid included a set of clothes and blankets.
