Munich – Alarm in the Isarphilharmonie: A 26-year-old threatened employees of the Munich cultural center with a kitchen knife on Sunday evening while guests were waiting in the foyer to be admitted to the concert hall.

In a way that has not yet been explained, the man got to a room for employees on the third floor of Gasteig HP8 around 7 p.m.
When a security guard asked him to leave, the 26-year-old suddenly pulled out his knife and threatened him.
The police assume that the perpetrator previously stole the kitchen knife from the cultural center.
The Philharmonic employee immediately called the police, who came with ten patrols.
The emergency services quickly managed to overpower and arrest the 26-year-old.
There were no injuries, and according to the police, there was never any danger for the concert guests.
What the 26-year-old wanted in the Philharmonie is so far unclear.

However, it was not the only police operation on Sunday in which a stabbing weapon was involved: heavily intoxicated and with a knife that he wore on a chain around his neck, a 38-year-old threatened several passers-by in Obersendling in the afternoon.
It started at the Forstenrieder Allee platform, where the drunk man harassed a 29-year-old passenger with a knife.
When he fled to the subway, the attacker followed him.
There, the 38-year-old threatened another passenger.
Without injuring anyone, the attacker simply got off the subway a few stations later.
The police arrested him shortly afterwards.
