Russia announced today that working normally with the United States and the West in general is no longer possible, and that Washington's policies aim to undermine Russia's national security.

Russia Today quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement about Russia’s suspension of the Treaty on the Reduction of Strategic Offensive Arms (Start 3): “Working with the United States and the West in general in a normal way is no longer possible, either in principle or in the field of arms control, which cannot be achieved.” Separating it from the geopolitical, military and strategic reality.

The Foreign Ministry added: The United States has been violating the main provisions of the treaty for some time, and that the Russian decision to suspend the work of the treaty can be reversed if Washington makes efforts to resume the work of the treaty.

On the other hand, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that despite Moscow's suspension of the start 3 treaty, it will continue to exchange communications with Washington regarding the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles and the launch of ballistic missiles from submarines based on the relevant agreement signed between the Soviet Union and the United States in 1988.

The Foreign Ministry indicated that Moscow intends to follow up on the actions of the United States and its allies, whether in the field of strategic offensive weapons or in the field of international security and strategic stability in general, as well as analyzing them in terms of potential damage to Russian interests and the need to take action in response by Moscow.

Russia stressed that in order to maintain stability and predictability in the nuclear missile field, Russia intends to uphold a responsible attitude and will continue to strictly abide by the restrictions on the number of strategic offensive weapons during the period of the treaty's validity.
