A carnivalist was injured in the neck.
Cologne – The Cologne carnival is actually a reason for joy for many people in the cathedral city, but even on the fun days there are always criminal offenses and serious disputes.
On Shrove Monday in Cologne, of all places, there was a knife attack on the very central and crowded stairs of Cologne Cathedral, as 24RHEIN reports.
"A 30-year-old man from Cologne was slightly injured in the neck during a physical altercation in the area of the cathedral steps on Monday afternoon (February 20)," said a police spokesman.

According to the police, the knife attack took place at around 2:40 p.m. right at Cologne Central Station.
The costumed victim was probably attacked with a knife by a "previously unknown opponent".
While the 30-year-old was taken to a hospital, the perpetrator was able to flee towards Wallrafplatz after the attack.
Police are currently reviewing video footage and interviewing witnesses.
After a knife attack in Mönchengladbach, the victim was able to escape to a police station with serious injuries.

The police are now looking for the knife attacker.
