The media forgets that Netanyahu made a career out of being the underdog. that the attacks build and serve him. He picks up the derogatory names and hangs them in the office like war signals

At the beginning of the week, News 12 appeared like a Zoom meeting of the organizers of the demonstration in Jerusalem.

There was a full breakdown of the schedule and a discussion of the police's preparations for the event, including a small and implicit report on the fear of fringe groups.

There was talk about the companies that agree that their employees will sit on Monday and which company still does not approve, and there was even a discussion of public transportation: Yes, there will be reinforcements, there will be no reinforcements.

I no longer rubbed my eyes.

This behavior is not unusual, and it did not start this week.

The mainstream Israeli media, led by television, expressed its fear of the end of democracy already on the night of November 1, when the true results began to flow into the studios.

She continued to talk about the apocalypse throughout the signing of the coalition agreements, but after the announcement of Justice Minister Yariv Levin on the reform - all the gloves were taken off.

The media chose a side.

She stands "totally" with the opponents of the reform.

This is expressed in the terminology, according to which it is not a reform but a "regime coup";

The tank thieves from Tel Saki did not vandalize a memorial site, they simply "carried" or "dragged" - they have a protest site.

The one-sided coverage is expressed in the echo of every voice against the reform, even if it is marginal and even if the speaker's field of expertise is not related to the issue at all.

It continues to ignore the simple criterion of news, according to which the new is newsworthy and the old is not.

The viewers are forced to watch the demonstrations every Saturday night, hear where they are protesting and be there through the screen, even though by the sixth or seventh week it is no longer news.

Yesterday, the second week of the demonstration in Jerusalem, they chose here to broadcast from an open studio throughout the hours of the protest - conduct that is reserved for a visit by the President of the United States or, God forbid, an attack.

You will say that there is nothing new here, the media has never been objective - it is true, even from the days of Haim Yavin's sigh when he reported on the upheaval.

But such recruitment seems to happen only once in many years.

I assume that the journalists and editors feel that they must save Israel from itself.

They just ignore, again, that a large part of the people think otherwise.

And in the way they act, they will eventually achieve the opposite result of the one they wish for.

The media has forgotten that the days of the tribal edition of a single channel, when the houses of Israel are silent at nine o'clock in the evening, are over.

Today, along with here and channels 12 and 13, there is another channel - 14. Right-wing pro-Netanyahu channel.

Monitoring his ratings in the last two months reveals that in the programs after the news, the so-called "prime-time" ratings, he is already overtaking Kaan.

This is the time when "The Patriots" airs: a polished, tight panel that is a mirror image of the editions.

He does not pretend to be objective.

Its participants attack everything that is sacred in the other channels.

It turns out that more and more viewers are choosing to consume these contents.

They were fed up with the indoctrination of the usual channels.

On Monday of this week, the day of the vote on the laws in the first reading, the Patriots broke a record and reached six percent ratings.

Other current affairs programs, such as the news edition and Segal's report, are also gaining increasing viewership.

Citizens who cannot find their voice - are no longer captives.

They don't even have to turn off the TV.

They have something to look forward to.

The second result that this whole move may have is the strengthening of the Likud and the right-wing bloc.

The media forgets every time that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a career out of being the underdog, that these attacks build and serve him.

She doesn't remember him picking the derogatory names and hanging them in the office like war signs.

Those who elected him or the other coalition parties, and even those who sat on the fence until now - see the unbridled arrogance, the intimidation that has no limits, the blindness and one-sidedness, and say to themselves: there is a wild exaggeration here, there is a trampling of one side without seeing him at all.

It's not fair, I'm with the right.
