Human pyramids, brilliant choreographies and lots of royalty: At the super guard meeting of the local guild, the spectators in the sold-out town hall were able to marvel at the programs of the show dance groups - from very small to very large.

And there were emotional moments too.

Fürstenfeldbruck

– The home guild’s superguard meeting has lost none of its appeal despite the corona pandemic.

"Sold out" says the sign outside at the entrance to the event forum.

Inside the hall, 550 guests have found their place and are following the brilliant performances.

The viewers came not only because of the show, but also for emotional moments.

Scenes like those offered by Olching's carnival princess Amelie I, who mastered her performance with the show dance group "Spirit of Motion" in the usual professional manner.

An appreciative interjection from the corner where the home guild groups had gathered brought the 23-year-old upset.

"Thank you for not forgetting me," exclaimed Amelie Nießl, while a few tears rolled down her cheeks.

Nießl had taken her first steps as a show dancer at the local guild.

The super guard meeting is therefore half a home game for them, the appearance is an emotional one.

"Thank you for still supporting me like this," concluded Amelie I., accompanied by cheers from her fans.

The fact that the atmosphere in the audience was already so good at this point was ensured by the young troops of the homeland guild, which traditionally contest the opening of the guard meeting.

The enthusiasm of the minis and kids was once again contagious.

The atmosphere in the hall was finally at its peak when “Tanz Glanz” from Buxheim performed.

The show dance group from Unterallgäu, German champions in their discipline, presented a harmonious performance in all categories.

Dance, show, acrobatics and light effects formed a unit.

The Narrhalla Hallbergmoos also had acrobatic elements in the program, but with some wobbles.

The two Brucker clubs, the local guild and the carnival friends, contributed significantly to the success of the super guard meeting with their brisk and varied program.

For Karlheinz Graff, president of the carnival friends, participation is a matter of honour.

"It's really interesting to be able to compare and measure yourself with other groups." Nevertheless, Graff didn't want to hide the fact that the booked performances bring in the money with which you can shape club life.

This also applies to the local guild, which has organized the guard meeting for many years "with a lot of fun", as guild master Daniel Brando explains.

Of course you first look around at the clubs you are friends with or know better.

"Most importantly, however, is the variety," says Brando.

Groups that rely on acrobatics, for example, cannot be offered to the public on an ongoing basis.

There has to be something similar to a revue or an appearance that tells a story.

That gets recognition.

In any case, the total of 288 dancers get plenty of what is called the artist's bread and butter: applause.
