Finsing

– With a traditional reception in the foyer of the town hall, the municipality of Finsing honored citizens who have distinguished themselves with something special in the past year.

In addition to Maria Bachschneider and Heinrich Krzizok, a number of students can also look forward to awards.

"In our clubs, people meet who have the same hobby or the same interests and activities," said Mayor Max Kressirer, "a club thrives on the commitment of individual people who are willing to get involved and do something for others .

It's not always easy to organize in the background, it also takes a lot of energy."

In recent years, traditional costume wearers who have had various successes have always been honored in the cultural sector.

Maria Bachschneider, who has been secretary of the Goldachtaler Eicherloh traditional costume association for 25 years, received the award this year.

She has been a member of the association since 1966, i.e. for 57 years.

Kressirer emphasized that Bachschneider was not only the secretary, "but also to some extent the right hand of the board".

She is indispensable, especially when it comes to organizing, and last year she was made an honorary member of the association.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your work, your activities and your actions," said the mayor as he presented her with the certificate of honor.

The head of the village also honored his predecessor Heinrich Krzizok for his work in the village.

In addition to his office, today's former mayor and honorary citizen was "very close to social life and very close to the clubs".

Above all, Kressirer paid tribute to Krzizok's commitment to the Christmas market, which he launched in 1995.

"If you ask today, 'Who invented it?', you can say: Heini", Kressirer joked and thanked Krzizok for his "decades of commitment to the community and to society".

In the school area, 16 pupils were recognized who had particularly good qualifications.

"Thanks to their thirst for education and their thirst for knowledge, they have achieved excellent results and therefore deserve this award today," said Kressirer.

He would also like to thank the teachers and parents who contributed to these great results.
