The human and moral “squint.”

There is no doubt that the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria created a political earthquake in the world whose political repercussions are still ongoing.

There is no doubt that the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria caused a political earthquake in the world whose political and geological repercussions are still interacting, and although the disaster brought together two neighboring countries, it revealed the masks of many countries claiming to defend human rights in the world, and showed their distance from humanity.

From the beginning, Western countries focused in humanitarian aid and in media campaigns on the damage caused by the earthquake on the Turkish side, which is of course enormous destruction, and the international air relief bridges that were launched towards Turkish airports exceed those that went to Syria by several times, driven by political reasons and positions far from each other. Separation from humanity and in real disregard of the magnitude of the catastrophe that befell Syria as a result of the earthquake.

Many countries in the Western world that claim to carry the banner of defending human rights in the world and lecture on “Third World” countries, as they classify them, closed their eyes to the catastrophe that befell Syria and were affected by a “human squint” and did not see the devastation that befell the Syrians as a result of the earthquake.

Indeed, some countries began sending aid to the Syrians through Turkey and through the airports of neighboring countries, as if relief aid could only arrive through those airports!

As if the landing of European and Western planes in Syrian airports or the docking of Western ships in Syrian ports is a disgrace to those countries!

Any political, intellectual and moral about this?

We know the extent of subordination and obedience to the American will.

As for those who do not want to send aid from countries, there is nothing wrong with him and he should not claim that he is sending aid to the Syrians through the Turks or others, because those with political and moral “squint” have no blame and they are outside the accounts of the Syrians who know who stands with them in their ordeal and know who sent it. Weapons for thousands of mercenaries across the border to destroy the Syrian state in a way more severe than a devastating earthquake.

We will not blame Washington for its political and moral “transformation”, because since its inception, it has been based on the blood of the American Indians and their extermination, and its human history we know from Nagasaki and Hiroshima to Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Somalia, as well as France and Britain and the list goes on, but the blame is on some Arabs who pushed the Syrians From their blood, fatigue and sweat in order to protect them and develop their countries over decades.

The moral “squint” was not confined to some regimes, states and governments, but rather moved to the Western media, which did not see from the devastating earthquake that struck Syria except the areas controlled by terrorist groups, and although they are really affected areas, they are not the only ones in Syria, rather there are large areas affected. The disaster, however, was absent from the Western media.

The Western media could not sympathize with the Syrians in Aleppo, Lattakia, Hama and Tartous because it wanted to exploit the earthquake to make false accusations against the Syrian state of preventing the arrival of relief supplies for the afflicted in Idlib and northwestern Aleppo under the control of terrorists. This media did not see the relief aid convoy that was prepared and remained two days waiting for entry To Idlib accompanied by the United Nations, but the terrorists refused to enter.

This media did not see the Syrian state's decision to open additional internal crossings across the lines and additional crossings with Turkey to facilitate the entry of aid. It does not want to see the humanitarian situation of the Syrian state, but rather is busy polishing the terrorists, from al-Julani to the terrorist White Helmets.

People with moral “strabismus” can find thousands of justifications for not extending a helping hand to the Syrians in their ordeal, at times the criminal Caesar Act, and at others hostility to the Syrian state, but all of these justifications are unacceptable and will not intercede for those who launch them in the courts of conscience and humanity.
