Amman-SANA
Political and parliamentary figures and diplomatic delegations in Jordan continued to visit the Syrian embassy in Amman, to offer condolences for the victims of the earthquake that struck Syria on the sixth of this month.
The Syrian embassy opened its doors days after the devastating earthquake to receive condolences. Many Jordanian political figures offered condolences, including deputies, notables, secretaries, political parties, various economic and cultural actors, media men, professors and students of public and private universities.
The mourners expressed their solidarity with the Syrian government and people, condemning the unjust and inhumane Western blockade imposed on it, calling on the international community to take action to lift the economic blockade. They also called for the continuation of work in collecting and sending humanitarian aid to those affected by the earthquake in Syria.
