The singer and songwriter pains the situation in Israel, and calls to unify the ranks: "He is always topical, but these days, between the need for reform and a sense of a coup, perhaps he is topical more than anything else."

The parable of the ship, Ovadia Hamma (public relations)

A new song from the creator of Ovadia Hamma with an important and topical message from Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.

The song is accompanied by a music video illustrated by Liora Rosenman, which illustrates not only the parable but also the musicians who were partners with Hamma in the arrangement of the piece.

Hamma says: "The Rashbi's Parable of the Ship floated and made headlines, and hence it was also composed and recorded during the Corona period.

And yet, the parable of the corona virus may be behind us, but the parable of the mutual guarantee in our people is still alive and kicking... I have no choice but to edit and compose the parable.

It is always relevant, but these days, between the need for reform and the feeling of a coup, perhaps it is more relevant than anything...".

Ovadia is saddened by the situation: "In the context of the parable, each side thinks that the other side is the one drilling the bottom of the ship. On the one hand, this illustrates the chasm between the two sides, but on the other hand, there is hope when each side feels exactly what the other side feels in the depth of the experience of the event, so which is a solid foundation for the need for negotiations and broad agreements. If we don't know how to connect and connect out of common challenges, old or current - then we will unite anyway, God forbid, in the bigger troubles that will come, when, God forbid, the earthquake will shake us more and more, until a healing unity governs us."
