A major anti-drug police operation was carried out in Villeurbanne on February 14 and 15 in the Allée de la Côte sector.

On the spot, two people aged 22 and 19 were arrested and a third suspect, designated as the principal, surrendered on February 16.

During the searches carried out in the homes of the suspects and in the common areas, the police seized 13,775 euros in cash, 2.193 kilos of cannabis resin, 676 grams of grass of the same substance and 45 grams of ecstasy. .

This seizure was made possible by a system put in place at the end of 2022 between the residents and the population police delegate of the Villeurbanne police station, making it possible to trace numerous problems caused by drug trafficking in this district.

Thanks to this information, the investigation services set up several on-site monitoring to define the precise organization of the deal point.

During their hearings, two of the respondents denied the facts.

The youngest of them was the subject of an appearance on prior admission of guilt.

The other two were presented to the prosecution on February 18 and are due to appear on Tuesday.
