About five months after launching the project of the Homs Chamber of Industry Company to generate renewable energies with limited liability in Hassia, the technical staff succeeded in producing the first megawatts and pumping them into the electrical network.

The head of the Homs Chamber of Industry, Labib al-Akhwan, told SANA reporter that the remaining components of the project are currently being completed with a total capacity of ten megawatts, pointing to the importance of these projects, especially in the industrial cities, to secure the energy needs of industrialists.

The Brotherhood revealed that the project is the first public shareholding company in the governorate in this field, and includes about thirty businessmen who own factories and industrial facilities in Hassia.

And he indicated that the infrastructure is currently being prepared for about 4 megawatts, and that the production of the first megawatt is a step to motivate businessmen to establish companies to generate renewable energies.

In turn, the Assistant Director General of the Industrial City in Hassia, Eng. Pietro Salman, explained that three companies to generate renewable energies in Hassia have been allocated the necessary lands, and are currently starting to establish the infrastructure for their projects.

He pointed out that among these companies is the Homs Chamber of Industry, the International Company for Rolling Iron, and the Gemasi Solar Company, with an area of ​​ten hectares for each project and a capacity of ten megawatts for each.

Petro explained that a new company submitted a request to allocate it with 130 hectares to produce approximately 130 megabytes, and it is in the process of procedures to start the project, noting the importance of the Homs Chamber of Industry project in view of the conditions the country is currently going through.

For her part, Engineer Faten Al-Allaf, a site engineer at the Homs Chamber of Industry for Renewable Energy Company, said: “One megawatt has been connected to the electrical transformer in Hasya, and it includes about 1,200 panels with a capacity of 545 watts per panel, while direct operations have begun to prepare the metal bases for the second megawatt of the project.” .

The engineer supervising the project, Abdul Kafi Al-Atassi, indicated that 2,400 panels were purchased for the second megawatt, and within two months they will be completed, so that the project will produce about 2 and a half megabytes of electricity.

Al-Atassi explained that the project is being implemented in phases with a total capacity of 10 megawatts, and it is currently subject to Law 41 as part of an agreement signed with the General Electricity Company.

In October 2021, the Homs Chamber of Industry announced the establishment of a renewable energies company in the industrial city of Hasya, after it was incorporated in accordance with the provisions of the new Investment Law No. 18 of 2021.
