A mayor of Together for Change went over to the Front of All and calls for the re-election of Axel Kicillof

It is Jorge Bordoni, who has governed Tornquist since 2015. He sought to involve another opposition community chief in the movement.

Since he assumed his second term,

Sergio Bordoni

had been gradually moving away from Together for Change, the coalition with which he was re-elected in 2019 at the head of the

Tornquist mayor

, in the southwest of the province of Buenos Aires.

At the same time, through the "middle avenue", as Sergio Massa once defined his Renovation Front, he had begun to approach the ruling party along with other community leaders from the interior of Buenos Aires.

However, his

movements had never been as explicit as his words were

this Wednesday, in an act with the provincial governor.

"Axel (Kicillof) is going to be governor for 4 more years. I have no doubt about that and

the entire district has to accompany him

," launched the community chief, while Kicillof and the Buenos Aires Minister of Production, Augusto Costa, did not stop applaud him, with the Sierras de la Ventana in the background.

"The works that have come to our district, we owe them to the governor and even knowing that I was not of the same political color as him," said Bordoni, who for the 2015 campaign joined Cambiemos from the Civic Coalition and defeated the Front for Victory.

The mayor of Tornquist, Sergio Bordoni, went over to the Front of All and calls for the re-election of Kicillof.

He highlighted Kicillof's "humility" and decided not to launch the campaign alone for his reelection, seeking

to involve another mayor of Together for Change in the move

.

"With José we were partners for 4 years and we have recognized that for 4 years, this government administration has served us much better than during the previous administration," added Bordoni, after his pro-government harangue.

The reference was to

José Luis Zara, community chief of Patagones

, who was looking at him from the guest box and to whom the official broadcast had shown him seconds before.

"I

know that it can give José headaches

," Bordoni quickly delimited, while the first applause sounded at his mention.

“But it is a reality, it is a reality, what I say.

And it's not because he's Axel, I told him so.

I'm not a sucker, the truth is that I'm very frontal,

maybe I wasn't born to be a politician.

I say what I feel and without fear of paying a political cost” added Bordoni.

Along these lines, the mayor had already generated controversy with his last speech on the anniversary of Sierra de la Ventana.

On January 17, in the same town where he was shown with Kiciloff, he had criticized the population for the "lack of empathy" with the institutions of the region.

“I see that people are asleep.

That he is not interested in anything more than to see how they are saved.

But alone we are not going to save ourselves.

It will not happen to the merchant, to the cabañero.

Here we have to work together and I involve the government on duty.

But people have to have more empathy among the inhabitants of Sierra” Bordoni surprised in that act.

Regarding the mention of Zara,

Clarín

consulted the mayor of Patagones, before his return from Tornquist to the southernmost district of the province.

“Regarding what Sergio Bordoni said, about the response of the officials and the governor himself, it is true that they always answer the phones.

When we have requested works or something urgent, we have had a quick response,

" the community chief told this newspaper.

Specifically, he mentioned a claim about the situation of the road to the San Blas spa, one of the tourist and fishing attractions in the district, which had flooded and the province sent a team to condition it.

"The same thing happened with other works that have been requested and have been carried out," added Zara without giving details.

"And about what Bordoni said about

Kicillof's re-election

?"

Clarín consulted.

The mayors of the Frente de Todos are asking for it.

I belong to Juntos

”, remarked the mayor of Patagones, who, like Bordoni, became mayor in 2015 and was re-elected in 2019, from the macrismo.

A reference to the protest in the countryside and the roadblocks in 2008, Zara left no doubt about his political alignment.

“I

am clear on which side I am on.

But not for that, I am going to stop thanking

the governor and his officials for the good predisposition I have, ”added the mayor and agricultural producer.

On the part of Kicillof, there was no reference to whether or not he will go for re-election.

Not even when Bordoni pointed out that, with a temperature above 35 degrees, the governor was still wearing a bag.

"Is it because of cabal?", asked the mayor of Tornquist, in the act that closed the meeting with a hundred businessmen, leaders and leaders of the mountain region held in the concessioned provincial hotel.

With a markedly Buenos Aires speech, Kicillof highlighted the presence of some 15 mayors in the ninth and penultimate edition of his summer tourist conferences.

There he reiterated his criticism of those who seek to "divide and cut up the province" in reference to the proposals that emerged from Together for Change.

“It is a province that is becoming more and more integrated, that reaffirms its identity and it is a province that they will not be able to divide.

Those who want to divide the province are the same ones who take the resources with the Supreme Court.

So we are going to continue fighting so that they return to our province and to all the provinces, what corresponds to them, what is ours” Kicillof harangued, with the backdrop of the mountains where the smoke from the fire that last week he took 500 hectares of forest.
