Today, the city of Jericho in the West Bank witnessed a stand of solidarity, in support of the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation detention centers, and to demand the handover of the bodies of the Palestinian martyrs, which are being held in violation of international conventions and covenants.
Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the vigil, which was organized in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the city, raised Palestinian flags and condemning banners calling on the international community and international human rights organizations to put pressure on the occupation to release prisoners, especially women, children, the elderly and the sick, and to implement international agreements related to humane treatment, in addition to Handing over the bodies of the martyrs with whom they are holding, stressing that they will continue to organize more activities until they are recovered and buried properly.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners inside the occupation jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention, as a result of the policy of deliberate medical neglect against them.
In addition, the Israeli occupation forces demolished today a Palestinian house near the city of Hebron in the West Bank.
Wafa news agency reported that the occupation forces stormed the town of Ithna, west of the city, with a number of bulldozers, and demolished a house, displacing its residents.
Today, the occupation forces demolished two houses in the towns of Al-Dyouk Al-Tahta, west of Jericho, and Al-Walaja, northwest of Bethlehem, in the West Bank.
On the other hand, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian workers in the town of Orif, south of Nablus, and burned a number of their vehicles, and shepherds in the Al-Maarajat area, northwest of Jericho, forcing them to leave the pastures.
