A truck had an accident at
kilometer 26 of the West Access
and spilled a
toxic substance
for which they had to
cut off traffic at the Ituzaingó tollbooth
, and caused annoyance to the residents of the area and chaos in traffic.
"Km 26 road accident. Ituzaingo area toll closed to traffic. Detours at Barcala and Martín Fierro exits, in both directions. Drive with caution," they reported on the Twitter account of the Autopista del Oeste (@AuOeste_AR).
And they expanded: "
Spill on road Km 26.
Truck spills unknown substance. Ituzaingó area toll closed to traffic."
On social networks, motorists who passed through the area showed how
the truck released white smoke
from behind the trailer that covered the area.
Also through networks, residents of Ituzaingó reported
sore throats, eye irritation and breathing difficulties
.
The images also showed how the
tollbooth employees had to come out of their cubicles
to get some air and they had bottles of water in their hands.
A fire operative prepared to clean the affected area with pressure washers.
