The young man accused of having murdered Shaïna, a 15-year-old teenager burned alive in Creil in 2019, will be tried from June 5 before the assize court for minors of Oise, in Beauvais, we learned. Tuesday with the parties' lawyers.
This trial should last five days, from June 5 to 9, told AFP the lawyer for the victim's family, Me Negar Haeri, and one of the defense lawyers, Me Adel Fares.
The accused being sent back to the assize court for minors, "the hearing is subject to limited publicity", a partial closed session, said Me Fares.
Single accused
On October 25, 2019, Shaïna, a few days pregnant, had been stabbed several times and then burned alive, in a shed in her city of Creil.
The only defendant in this case, the respondent is a boy aged 17 at the time of the events, with whom the victim was having an affair.
He was quickly indicted and placed in detention but, claiming his innocence, he appealed against his dismissal before the Assize Court in 2021. Rejecting this appeal, the investigating chamber of the Court of Appeal of 'Amiens finally confirmed the dismissal of the young man.

Two years before being murdered, Shaïna, then aged 13, had been the victim of a sexual assault committed in a meeting by boys aged 14 to 17.
In this case, the first act of what was to end in tragedy, three young people, including the teenager's then-boyfriend, were sentenced in March 2022 to terms ranging from 8 to 12 months in prison with suspended by the juvenile court of Senlis.
The prosecution, which had notably requested two years in prison, including one firm, against the former boyfriend appealed.
The case must be retried by the Amiens Court of Appeal on April 6 and 7.
