President Joe Biden almost fell on the stairs on his way up to his presidential plane on Wednesday, at the end of his visit to Poland - precisely in a week that will go down as one of the most important and successful of his presidency.

The event took place at the Warsaw airport in front of the cameras, when the 80-year-old president almost finished climbing the stairs attached to the aircraft painted light blue with the inscription United States of America, which is known mainly because of its call sign when it carries the commander in chief of the US military: " Air Force One".
It's still unclear what caused Biden to stumble for a second, but he managed to avoid an even bigger embarrassment when he steadied himself and continued.
As you may remember, the visit to Eastern Europe included a surprise visit to Kiev, which gave renewed validity to Biden's commitment to stand by Ukraine in the war against Russia.
This is the first time since the presidency of Abraham Lincoln that an American president arrives in a war zone that is not under the control of the American government.
Almost at the same time as the presidential embarrassment at the airport, a particularly flattering poll was published showing that Biden's popularity in his country had reached a one-year high.
The survey, conducted by the PBS and NPR networks before the historic visit but after the State of the Nation address about two weeks ago, showed that 46 percent of Americans are satisfied with his performance - the highest figure since March 2022.
The jump is manifested, among other things, in an increase in support among non-partisan voters - an increase from 23% to 36% - and among Republicans from 13% to 15% (the highest figure for Republican voters since he took office).
On the other hand, the situation of the one who might once again become his main opponent - former President Donald Trump - has been eroded recently according to the survey.
According to the findings, most Republicans and those who tend to vote for the Republican Party prefer another candidate to represent them on the presidential ballot in November 2024. Also, Trump's popularity among this group dropped from 79% in November to 68% in February.
