Electric car at 100 euros per month: "Reservations will be possible by the end of the year", according to the government

The electric car rental system at 100 euros per month, also called “

social leasing

”, is taking shape.

The Minister of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, Christophe Béchu, indicated on France Info this Wednesday that the system will be “

set in 2023

”.

The executive has yet to decide what the income threshold will be to qualify for the offer.

In addition, the government is working on limiting the device to European vehicles, said the minister.
