The prosecution in case 1000 informed the court today (Wednesday) that Arnon Milchan refuses to come to Israel to testify.
The prosecution submitted a request for the prosecution witness to testify with a visual designation from England.
The attorney's office's request states that "the potential contribution of Milchan's testimony to clarifying the truth and establishing
factual findings, Milchan's refusal to come to Israel for the purpose of giving testimony and his agreement to testify
in visual conferencing, and the existence of technological means that will allow the honorable court
and the litigants to view the testimony and pose questions to the witness, and the defendants To be in contact with their attorney
and present questions through them to the witness - the honorable court is requested to approve the collection of
Milchan's testimony by means of a visual panel, in accordance with Rule 15."
The attorney's office's request is submitted, among other things, in view of the witness's refusal to come to Israel for medical reasons, the existence of technological means that will allow the collection of the testimony as a series and the testimony's contribution to ascertaining the truth.
If the court accepts the request, the prosecution will ask Milchan to testify in June.
