The Syrian Trust for Development in Aleppo continues to evaluate all residential buildings to ensure the safe return of citizens to their homes, through the 101 engineering committees distributed in the city, in coordination with the Engineers Syndicate. The number of technical examinations has reached more than 13 thousand.
The Director of the Primary Legal Response in the Municipality, Bashar Skif, stated in a statement to SANA that, in cooperation with the Engineers Syndicate in Aleppo, 254 engineers volunteered, distributed among 101 committees consisting of engineers and lawyers, of which eight committees work according to emergency situations through citizens calling the hot numbers designated for emergencies to view and check the situation. Residential buildings, while 93 committees are working on field examinations in cooperation with directorates and service sectors.
Skif added: Through the examination, it became clear that there are four classifications, two of which are for proper inspection and light repairs of residential real estate, and the number of buildings that have been inspected to date has reached more than 9,000 properties, while the third classification deals with intervention or study and consolidation, according to the engineering examination and study committees. Primary, and includes the fourth classification if the drug needs to be examined by safety committees.
Skif explained that more requests are currently being accepted, and the number of requests received on the numbers has reached about 750 requests, 550 requests have been responded to, while the emergency committees work at a rate of 120 checks on a daily basis, and a legal and societal study is currently underway for buildings that have collapsed or suffered structural damage as a result of the earthquake. And he took information about the affected people, pointing out that a group of lawyers work on a daily basis in the governorate lighthouse in the production market to receive legal advice for the affected people who lost their identification papers.
