(ANSA) - TERNI, FEBRUARY 22 - New request for archiving for the investigation into the disappearance of Barbara Corvi of whom there has been no news since October 27, 2009 when traces of her were lost from Amelia, where she lived.
The Prosecutor of Terni formulated it in the context of the file in which her husband Roberto LoGiudice is accused of voluntary homicide but has always proclaimed himself innocent.
The proceeding was already filed for the first time in May 2015 by the investigating judge of Terni and subsequently reopened in March 2021 also following the transmission of documents by the Ddadi Reggio Calabria.
The magistrates from Terni then delegated new investigations to the carabinieri of the provincial command.
However, according to the Public Prosecutor's Office - reads a press release - "even following the outcome of the investigation investigations, the evidence does not allow us to believe, even if read together with the other elements of the extensive investigative activity in relation to the disappearance of Barbara Corvi, the existence against the suspect of serious indications of guilt in relation to the murder of his wife".
Hence the new request to archive the file on which the investigating judge of Terni will have to pronounce.
Lo Giudice had also been arrested at the end of March 2021, returning free after about twenty days.
The precautionary custody order was in fact annulled by the Perugia review court, a decision confirmed by the Cassation which had rejected the appeal by the Terni prosecutor's office.
