After meetings with strong discussions by the internal Juntos por el Cambio in Mendoza, the main leaders of the PRO reached an
agreement to finalize the integration of the front in seven departments
of that province that advanced the elections.
The definition in the district will remain for later, although both Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and Patricia Bullrich were
satisfied with this partial resolution
that lowered the tension.
The truce was finally sealed in a
virtual meeting
in which Mauricio Macri, Bullrich, María Eugenia Vidal, Diego Santilli and Cristian Ritondo participated, among others.
Rodríguez Larreta was not connected
: he claimed that at that time he was traveling from Entre Ríos to Buenos Aires.
In the previous one, Federico Angelini for the president of the PRO and Eduardo Macchiavelli for the Buenos Aires head of government had approached positions.
The dispute arose from the fact that Omar de Marchi, backed by Rodríguez Larreta, does not rule out being a
candidate for governor outside
of Cambia Mendoza.
In the previous meeting, Bullrich had asked to rush the definitions to avoid a rupture in a district in the power of radicalism and with PASO.
The Buenos Aires mayor replied that the closure in that province will be on
April 12
, so
the pressure from Rodolfo Suárez and the candidate to succeed him, Alfredo Cornejo,
was not justified .

The deadlines are shorter, however, in seven departments that set the closures for March 1.
At one point the tension grew when the provincial party authorities released a statement announcing that in those districts they would give
"freedom of action"
to the PRO leaders.

That was the end of the game, each one went their own way.
We stood firm and demanded that it had to be framed ”, they warned from Bullrich’s side.
By late afternoon the agreement was confirmed, with the call to the assembly to formalize the integration to the front in Lavalle, La Paz, Santa Rosa, Maipú, Tunuyán, San Carlos and San Rafael.

Unity is a priority to win the elections against Kirchnerism”, assured the head of the PRO at the end of the meeting by Zoom.

It ended very well.
We agreed with Omar (De Marchi) that the PRO establish Cambia Mendoza in those seven places while the negotiation for the rest continues", they were satisfied with Rodríguez Larreta, although they clarified that it does not necessarily imply confirmation that there will be an agreement at the provincial level.
With endorsement of De Marchi's position, the head of government rejected the pressure to close.
“We understand the anxiety of radicalism, but the fundamental resolution is almost two months away.
The reasonable thing is to give the right to the provincial PRO to determine what is convenient
”, it worked as an argument.

From the Bullrich sector they accused Rodríguez Larreta and De Marchi of feeding the inmate to condition Cornejo, of good ties with the former Minister of Security, to
push him to go down
to the province.
The former governor announced two weeks ago that he will go for the succession of Suárez.
"Patricia is more of a spokesperson for Cornejo than for the PRO
," they replied at the Buenos Aires headquarters on Uspallata street.
Macri demanded a resolution, after strong discussions between the main leaders of the PRO.
As an argument to consider the possibility of going abroad, De Marchi assured that
"there was never a spirit of front"
in Mendoza, compared Cornejo with Gerardo Zamora from Santiago for what he considered an advance of the UCR on the control organisms and marked that the space includes massismo and Libres del Sur.
In this line, in one of the meetings De Marchi referred to the "apparatus" of the UCR in the district.
"I fight against the apparatus throughout the country, which you use, and I am not complaining,"
Bullrich crossed the deputy, one of those in charge of the assembly of Rodríguez Larreta in the provinces.
“We agree that Together for Change has to stay together, but Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán, Misiones, San Juan and Tierra del Fuego have closures a month earlier than in Mendoza.
