Ahead of the expected strike on Thursday, in an interview with 103fm, the head of the local government Haim Bibbs attacks the government's conduct and claims that the Minister of Finance, who claimed that he did not meet with him, is lying: "There is no responsible adult in the Ministry of Finance, Netanyahu should manage the event"

If there is no last-minute change, the local authorities will sit next Thursday and chaos is expected, among other things, in the education system with the teachers' organization joining the strike and disruptions in the elementary and middle schools as well.

The head of the local government Haim Bibbs, who also serves as the mayor of Modi'in, attacked the government and especially the finance minister Bezalel Smotrich.

In an interview with 103fm, Biebs said: "In a reformed country, the treasury would have come after 4 years in which there is no stability of the central government and everything is almost in collapse, and we dragged this country under the corona epidemic, operations and all the things. The government is cut off from the public."

Did you meet with Smotrich?

"I met, I heard him say yesterday that we didn't meet with him, it's unpleasant to say, but he's not telling the truth. I met with him personally with my entire team two weeks ago. I sat with him, no one else did. Another thing, you know what's funny? That I hear them as if no one spoke to them? These discussions took place in the previous government, we started them, we already had summaries, and then the fall of the government came and everything was frozen. It is exactly the same process, nothing has changed, the only thing that has changed is the Minister of Finance, who it turns out is also the current Minister of Finance He has no influence because he is managed."

Biebs, a member of Likud, also has complaints against the Prime Minister.

"It has no meaning for Likud or not for Likud. Local government represents everyone. Talks were held and there is no responsible adult. We need a responsible adult. That's why I called on the Prime Minister to take the reins and manage the event."

The interview with Haim Biebs

Biebs stated the reasons for the strike: "So many issues. The first and perhaps the most essential issue is the education of our children. We have the issue of assistants that has not yet been closed, the wage agreement, an employment horizon, there is a shortage of thousands of assistants a day. Alongside this we have a shortage of 7 A thousand classrooms. There is an absurd situation here, there are 100,000 children in the State of Israel who study in trailers. The only country where a child does not have a classroom, and they are arguing with us about something that has a multi-year budget, we get our money through the main things we are developing, there is a big fat pot that we put into the treasury in recent years .

The local government announced on Monday a strike in an attempt to advance its demands with the Ministry of Finance.

These include, among other things, a new salary agreement for assistants and high school teachers, completion of a shortage in classrooms, transportation of students and special education, and the cancellation of the property tax fund.

The teachers' organization announced joining the strike and studies in high schools will not take place.

There will also be no activity in the kindergartens due to the fact that kindergarten teachers cannot operate the kindergarten without assistants.

Special education was excluded from the strike.

As for the elementary and middle schools, the director general of the Ministry of Education, Assaf Tselal, initially announced that the school day would end at 11:45, but later issued another clarification that the directive should be ignored and a new directive would be issued closer to the strike date on Thursday.
