Lexus Importer will next month launch the RZ 450e, Lexus' second electric car in Israel, but the manufacturer's first model developed on a dedicated platform for electric models.
The model will join the category of large and prestigious electric recreational vehicles in Israel, and will compete here with models such as the Audi e-tron, Mercedes EQC and BMW iX3.

The RZ 450e was officially launched last week in Europe and shares with the Toyota bZ4X the same dedicated electric platform, but benefits from significantly larger dimensions.
The design is faithful to the current design language of Lexus, the traditional "hourglass" grill with the large ventilation openings is replaced in the electric model by a "high-tech hourglass" grill with an opaque appearance, which contributes to a more advanced and impressive appearance.
The passenger cabin is also in line with the manufacturer's new design language and offers good human engineering, backed by the quality of materials and fine assembly, but the design is a bit cluttered in contrast to competitors characterized by a "cleaner" design and a small number of switches.
The model will be marketed in Israel with 3 trim levels to choose from, with the entry-level "KYUSHU" version already offering a panoramic glass roof, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, leather upholstery for the seats, an electric tailgate, a wireless charging surface for smartphones, a multimedia system with a touch screen 14 has 10 speakers and a subwoofer and a comprehensive advanced safety package.

The RZ will be offered in Israel with a pair of electric motors that provide dual drive and a total power of 313 hp, which accelerate the vehicle from a standstill to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds on the way to a computer-limited maximum speed of 160 km/h.
Together with a 71.4 kWh battery, the model guarantees a driving range of 404-435 km (depending on the trim levels) according to the WLTP standard, and this is a relatively low range compared to competitors.
In return, Lexus prides itself on the extensive knowledge they have gained over the years in battery development, and guarantee that the battery's efficiency will remain at 90% even after 10 years of use.
Lexus RZ 450e prices will be 450,000 to 500,000 shekels when it arrives in Israel towards the end of March.
