Today, the Israeli occupation committed a massacre in the city of Nablus in the West Bank, in which 10 Palestinians were killed and hundreds were wounded.

Wafa news agency reported that the occupation forces stormed the Old City of Nablus and assaulted the Palestinians with bullets and poison gas bombs, killing 10 Palestinians, wounding 102 with bullets, and 250 suffocating.

While the Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that the bodies of the ten martyrs had arrived at West Bank hospitals, and they are: the child Muhammad Shaaban, 16 years old, Adnan Baara, 72 years old, Abdul Hadi Ashkar, 61 years old, and the young men Muhammad Anbousi, Tamer Minawi, Musab Awais, Hussam Aslim, Muhammad Abdul Ghani, Walid Dakhil, and Jasser Qanair.

With the martyrdom of the ten Palestinians, the number of martyrs in the West Bank since the beginning of this year has risen to 60.

The Palestinian presidency condemned the brutal Israeli massacre, calling, through its spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, for the need for the international community, especially the US administration, to act immediately to stop the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, their land and their sanctities.

In turn, the Palestinian Prime Minister, Muhammad Shtayyeh, denounced during his meeting with a delegation of members of the European Parliament the massacre, calling on the European Union countries to stop the policy of double standards that encourage Israel to continue its aggression against the Palestinian people, and to take punitive measures against it to stop its violations of international law and international humanitarian law in Palestine.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the massacre committed by the occupation in Nablus is organized terrorism and a dangerous escalation, noting that it continues to work to expose the crimes of the occupation at all levels, including the UN and the competent international courts, in order to stop them and hold the perpetrators accountable.

For his part, Palestinian Chief Justice Mahmoud al-Habbash affirmed that the Israeli massacre in Nablus confirms the true face of the racist and criminal occupation that practices terrorism and murder against Palestinians daily without any regard for international laws and treaties or human feelings through the policy of turning a blind eye by the international community to its crimes.

The Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) considered the massacre as an extension by the occupation of its bloody terror practiced by its forces and settler groups by targeting children, the elderly, medical staff and journalists, calling on the international community to break the silence surrounding the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people, and announcing a general strike in Jenin today mourning the souls of the martyrs of Nablus.

For their part, the President of the Palestinian National Council, Ruhi Fattouh, and the President of the Supreme Council of Churches in Palestine, Ramzi Khoury, denounced the massacre of the occupation, pointing out that what is happening in Nablus in terms of the destruction of homes and mosques, the direct killing of elders and children, and dozens of injuries, is a new crime added to the war crimes and ethnic cleansing committed by the forces. The fascist occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories is in full view of the world.

In addition, the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front confirmed in a statement that the occupation’s targeting of the Palestinian people in Nablus is a war crime and a continuation of the occupation’s policy of organized terrorism, stressing that the use of internationally prohibited weapons against defenseless Palestinians by the occupation requires a firm international stance against the crimes of its forces, which are met with shy condemnations. By the international community, which continues its policy of double standards, which encourages the occupation to commit more crimes.

In the context, the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh witnessed two demonstrations condemning the Israeli massacre in Nablus, where the participants raised Palestinian flags and banners denouncing the crimes of the occupation against the Palestinian people, while the Factional Coordination Committee in Bethlehem announced a comprehensive strike tomorrow to condemn the horrific massacre, calling on all Palestinians to go out in marches. Angry and condemning the ongoing crimes of the occupation against them.
