The people of the town of al-Sabha in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor confronted gunmen from the “Qasd militia” affiliated with the American occupation forces, who tried to regain one of their military points in the town from which the people had expelled them.
Local sources told SANA reporter that the people of the town of Al-Sabha in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor clashed this evening with an armed group affiliated with the “Qasd” militia, with machine guns, coinciding with the flight of the US occupation helicopters over the area, against the backdrop of the expulsion of the people from one of the militia’s military points from the town.
The sources pointed out that the "Qasad" militia brought large military reinforcements towards the town, which is witnessing security tension, in light of the residents' refusal to return this militia to their town.
On the fourth of this month, the “Qasd” militia imposed a curfew on the people of the towns of al-Sabha and Abriha in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. It also prevented the transfer of a number of emergency cases to hospitals and medical centers, and stopped the movement of cars to and from the two towns.
