The Prosecution Division of the Israel Police filed an indictment today (Wednesday) against Ahmed Jabarin, 64 years old from Umm El Faham, after he threatened the Haifa district attorney.

This is attorney Anat Steinschneid, who was accompanied by her assistants and the spokeswoman for the Haifa and North District Attorney's Office.

The prosecutor handled the case against Jabarin's son, Khaled, who was convicted of murdering the singer Shafik Kabaha and sent to life imprisonment. The indictment states that after the reading of his son's sentence at home The district court in Haifa threatened the attorney and her family: "Now are you satisfied?

It will reach you and your children."

A few days ago, Tinanschneid filed a police complaint and the Haifa station officers arrested Jabarin and brought him in for questioning.

His detention was extended and today an indictment was filed against him at the Haifa Magistrate's Court.

Last week, the son Khaled was sentenced for the murder of the singer Shafik Kabaha about a decade ago, in 2013. Kabaha, a 53-year-old resident of Kfar Kara when he died, was one of the most popular singers in Arab society.

Two masked men on a scooter shot him at close range when he was in a car on his way home from a joy hall in Umm al-Fahm where he was performing.

At the hearing, the prosecution demanded a mandatory life sentence and another eight months of probation for a crime of violence that the defendant has.

The judges scheduled the hearing of arguments for the punishment for January 25.

At the request of the prosecutor, Adv. Anat Steinschneid, who managed the case with Adv. Efrat Barzani, they ordered the immediate arrest of Khaled Jabarin, and his actual arrest behind bars, until the end of the proceedings.

The court guards escorted him from the public benches to the defendants' cell and from there to the holding cells in the basement of the court, from where he was taken to prison.
