Children from Tartous suffered from the pain of their young peers in the earthquake-stricken governorates, so they rushed to help and provide what they had through an initiative launched by the Family Guidance and Protection Association since the 10th of February.

The initiative, which was titled “Donate a Toy and Cultivate a Smile,” comes within a series of initiatives for the association, as explained by its president, Kmit Mahrez. children of affected areas.

Mahrez pointed out that the initiative was very popular with toy stores and children, some of whom were busy wrapping these gifts that they would donate to spread joy on the faces of young people from the affected areas, as they will be distributed in shelters in coordination with associations in the cities of Lattakia and Jableh, such as the Mosaic Association.

Within the initiative, according to Mahrez, a diverse team of 30 volunteers was formed, and the number is increasing. They received a psychological first aid course to train them to provide support in the appropriate way.

Among the Tartous children participating in the initiative, the two girls, Maya and Julia, 11 years old, expressed their desire to donate their daily expenses to buy toys to donate to restore the smiles that were taken from the faces of the afflicted children, while the 14-year-old girl Hadeel Ibrahim, who lost her parents, expressed her deep sadness at the destruction that befell Syria. She considered that these games are a contribution of solidarity with these children after the grief and pain that befell them.

The child, Ali Ahmed, did not hesitate to donate to express his grief over what befell Syria and contribute to alleviating the suffering of these children for losing everything they own, while his father, Ahmed Ahmed, found that this initiative was a message of solidarity and support, because the affliction of these families and children is the affliction of all of us, and that the children of this generation are carrying in Their hearts are the most beautiful meanings of humanity, giving and patience.

A number of volunteers in the campaign emphasized that games for children are no less important than food, drink and medicine, and we cannot tell children not to play, but rather they must exercise their right to play and it is our duty to provide it for them, especially under these circumstances, expressing their happiness to participate In the initiative with the children who sowed hope for a promising future and a country with keen and honest hands.
