The division of the Frente de Todos interblock set up a
new Senate
and the first effect was already visible with the
fall of the only session
in which the ruling party intended to hold this Thursday.
Thus, the Upper House ended the
period of extraordinary sessions
without having dealt with any of the almost 30 issues proposed by the President, for the second consecutive year.
On Tuesday night the interblock of the Frente de Todos met to check that everyone was within range to meet this Thursday, after high school to ratify authorities.
From there came the confirmation that there would be a limited session, to convert the Lucio project into law and endorse the judicial and military documents sent by Alberto Fernández.
They knew that the Zero Alcohol project generated differences with the legislators of the wine-producing provinces, but they still did not imagine the confrontation that was coming.
On Wednesday, when
the break in the bloc
was gaining more and more strength, the call to the session was delayed.

When the four legislators from the Frente de Todos announced the formation of the new Federal Unity bloc, the session was officially forgotten.
Until this Wednesday the FdT was an interblock of 35 legislators.
He needed perfect assistance from his own and 2 more allied legislators to reach a quorum of 37. For that he resorted to 3 faithful senators: Alberto Weretilneck from Río Negro, Magdalena Solari Quintana from the missionary and Clara Vega from La Rioja.
The margin of error was minimal.
But
now the situation is complicated because the FdT was left with 31
and needs yes or yes that part of Together for Change or the brand new Federal Unity Bloc accompanies them.
The new bench, chaired by Guillermo Snopek, has already announced that it will decide its accompaniment to the sessions depending on the agenda proposed by the ruling party and if its projects are taken into account, such as tariffs and transport subsidies.
As

recounted , the idea of a session was already complicated by the internal ones within the ruling party itself and the campaign activities in which several legislators are already immersed.
Together for Change had advanced that it would not give a quorum
, in either of the two chambers while the
impeachment trial against the judges of the
Supreme Court in Deputies lasts.
However, as this process takes a long time, starting in March they will change their strategy.
There weren't even any committee meetings during January and February in the Senate
.
"They have the numbers, they will know why they are not brought together to discuss the issues. It cannot surprise us when the dialogue is broken in the government itself to the point that the Minister of the Interior does not speak with the President," the senator had told Clarín radical Luis Naidenoff, days ago.
