On video: suspicion of murdering a woman after she was attacked in a violent incident at her home, Ashdod, February 21, 2023 (documentation of MDA operations)
Today (Thursday) the court allowed the publication that Polina Weissman, 41 years old, is the woman who was murdered yesterday in Ashdod.
A 22-year-old suspect from Evan Shmuel was arrested, and during his interrogation he confessed to the acts.
In addition, forensic findings linking him to the case were found in his home.
At first, he claimed in the investigation that he was present at the scene of the murder, but someone else attacked Weissman.
Yesterday, the divorced man and Weissman's partner were arrested, the latter's testimony revealed that a masked man fled the scene after the incident.
The police then arrested the young man from Ibn Shmuel, and the investigation revealed that the two met without prior acquaintance in Weissman's apartment, and a financial argument developed between them.
The suspect then left the house, and returned with a hammer, which he used to beat her to death.
