Daraa, SANA- Today, a new Jordanian convoy entered from Nassib border crossing, loaded with about 120 tons of relief aid.

Today, a new Jordanian convoy entered the Nassib border crossing, carrying about 120 tons of various relief aid for those affected by the earthquake in Syria.

The Chargé d'Affairs of the Jordanian Embassy in Damascus, Dr. Basil Al-Kayed, said in a press statement that the convoy consisted of 14 trucks carrying various relief aid, provided to the brothers in Syria, to face the repercussions of the earthquake from the Jordanian government, the Hashemite Jordanian Charitable Organization and the Jordanian people.

Al-Kayed pointed out that so far 65 trucks have been sent by land through the Nassib crossing from the Jordanian government, in addition to 3 planes carrying aid through Syrian airports and 10 ambulances. In providing aid under the directives of King Abdullah II, to support the brothers in Syria.

For his part, the head of the Daraa Governorate Council, Manhal Mahameed, praised Jordan's support for Syria in this disaster, expressing great thanks to all those who supported the Syrians in their ordeal.

The head of the Syrian Red Crescent branch in Daraa, Dr. Ahmed Al-Masalmeh, referred to the presence of the Crescent volunteers at the Nassib crossing, to carry out the task of unloading trucks and transporting them to their destination. He thanked the brothers in Jordan and everyone who supported Syria in this ordeal, stressing that the Crescent organization is seeking with everything it has to alleviate the suffering of those affected. And support them in all aspects and extend a helping hand to them with all its energy.

The convoy was received today by the Jordanian consul in Damascus, Anwar Al-Beddawi, and a number of directors of departments in Daraa.
