The legal adviser of the Prime Minister's Office informed the Minister of Information Galit Distal Atabrian that her plan to conduct a government-funded information campaign for the legal revolution raises "significant difficulties".

Distal, for whom the ministry of information was re-established last month but whose powers or areas of activity have not yet been regulated, announced that her first action in the ministry will be an information campaign on the legal reform that the government is promoting.

She turned to the Prime Minister's Office official Shlomit Barnea Pergo to get her opinion on the issue, and last night she published her answer on Twitter, from which it appears that she will not be able to get approval for government funding for the campaign.

Barnea Fargo wrote that the requested informational campaign raises significant difficulties since it is a "legislative procedure that is in progress and there is intense controversy about it among the public and at the heart of the political discourse. It is very difficult to say that a campaign that deals directly with this sensitive issue can be perceived as one that maintains a neutral image."

In the letter, she suggests that Distel consider, in cooperation with the relevant government officials, an "information campaign on the issues of unity in the people", without going into the details of the legal reform.

"There is no room for truth."

Distel attacked the decision on Twitter and claimed that "the legal advice prohibits me from mediating the truth to you."

Distal wrote: "Pretend to be surprised: in preparation for the extensive campaign I planned to explain the reform and for unity, I just received the answer from the legal counsel: I am prohibited from publishing any factual information about the reform. First Netanyahu and now it's my turn. Because the veil of lies that divides the people must not be cracked. Only the elite Dominate the public discourse. There is no room for the truth."

The ministry of information was re-established last month for Distal Atbarian, who was first appointed as a minister in the Prime Minister's office but later received the title of minister of information with a promise to establish a ministry with standards and budgets, which have not yet been given or defined. Earlier this month she complained at the cabinet meeting about the delays in establishing her ministry and said: I don't have a printer, I pay for it out of my own pocket.

I don't understand how you can make an explanation like that.

I funded flyers this week." Prime Minister Netanyahu replied: "He who fails to stand up to criticism is not his place."
