The author of the article ruled out surrogacy for a certain population only, and also stated that for single women who cannot give birth, the procedure is even moral in her eyes

For as long as I can remember I have known that no matter what and no matter what way I choose to live my life, I will never give up the right to be a father.

For years I searched for the right path for me.

I read articles, entered forums, went to surrogacy and co-parenting conferences.

I researched the issue for a long time, and after much thought and with many concerns, I decided to apply for a surrogacy procedure at the Surmum company, which accompanies surrogacy procedures in Israel and abroad.

During the process, I met my partner.

From the very beginning I shared with him that I was at the beginning of a surrogacy procedure to fulfill my biggest dream - to be a father.

In 2023 there are those who see this as a wrong thing.

On Family Day, the opinion of Einat Ramon, who actually wants to deny me the basic right to be a parent in Israel, was published in this section.

Thus, a pattern on paper, she seeks to shelve the biggest dream of my life.

The right to be a parent should be open to anyone who wants it.

unconditionally and without discrimination.

Those who discriminate between men and women say that a man cannot raise children, and that a woman's main role is to raise children.

I want to believe that in 2023, people understand that a father can also be an involved and active parent in his children's lives, and a father can also diaper, bathe, feed, put him to sleep, take his child to the doctor and basically do everything - except give birth of course (maybe in a few years science will change that too ).

There is an ideological debate regarding surrogacy.

Some see it as trafficking in the woman's body, and it is important that a discussion on the subject takes place.

But it should not be completely ruled out, because for many people it is the only possibility to start a family.

To prevent exploitation, it is important to monitor the surrogacy process in order to ensure that those surrogates receive the treatment and rights they deserve.

They must be supported and taken care of before the procedure, during and after it, and in the journey we went through I made sure in advance that this is indeed how it happens.

With the help of those brave women, new lives are created, dreams come true and new families are born.

It must be remembered that those women have the right to choose whether to enter into this type of procedure, and every woman has the right to decide about her body.

If it was decided that this procedure is legitimate and legal in Israel, it should not be withheld from men just because they are men.

The author of the article does not rule out the surrogacy procedure.

She only rejects the surrogacy procedure for a certain population, and also states that for single women who cannot give birth, the procedure is even moral in her eyes.

Because it is known that the role of the woman is to give birth to children, and if she cannot do it herself, she can help another woman, and this is even moral.

But when a man wants to use the services of a surrogate - it is no longer moral, and here we are talking about the exploitation and trafficking of the woman's body.

There is no competition here as to who is a better parent.

I believe wholeheartedly that everyone deserves to be parents, and that each and every one will choose the path that suits them.

No one is allowed to dictate to us what a family is.

And on a personal note: I will forever be grateful to the amazing woman who helped us make my biggest dream come true.

Thanks to her we became a family.
