On an episode of her "This is Paris" podcast this week, the reality star said she named her son Phoenix and hadn't revealed his name even to his mother, Kathy Hilton, or her sister. , Nicky Hilton Rothschild.
Hilton and her husband Carter Reum revealed last month that they had welcomed a baby together via surrogate.
"For now we've kept everything really private," Hilton said on the podcast.
“Not even my mom, my sister, or my best friends, literally no one knew until she was over a week old, so it was really nice that with Carter, that was our own journey, because I feel like my life has been too public and I have never had anything that is only mine”.

He added that the reason he kept his name from his loved ones was because his life is very public and he knew it would leak out somehow.
“If you tell one person, then they tell someone, and then all of a sudden it's on TMZ or Page Six,” he said.
"So Carter and I literally made a pact that we wouldn't tell anyone."

Hilton, who also has a book to publish called "Paris: The Memoir," read a portion of it aloud, explaining why the couple chose the name Phoenix.
"If all goes well, by the time you read this, Carter and I are having a baby," Hilton read.
“We planned to call it Phoenix, a name I decided on years ago when I was looking through cities, countries and states on a map for something to match Paris and London.”
And he continued: “More importantly, it is (representing) the bird that goes out and then rises from the ashes to fly again.
I want my son to grow up knowing that disaster and triumph come and go throughout our lives and that this should give us great hope for the future."
