Taiwan government will offer up to US$165 to 500,000 tourists

Would you like to receive money from a country so that you can visit it?

That is Taiwan's plan to attract tourists this 2023 and years to come.

The island lifted its entry restrictions in October 2022, after one of the longest border closures in the world, and that year saw a fraction of the visitors it did before the pandemic.
