The Torah teaches us: What is true "love"? - Walla! Judaism

In his lesson on the Parsha of the week, Parsha of Taruma, Rabbi Yoshya Pinto pointed out the mitzvah of love required by God of the people of Israel

This coming Shabbat we will read in the synagogue the parashat of donation in which the Torah tells about the divine commandment to donate for the building of the tabernacle.

The Rebbe Rabbi Yosiah Pinto made it difficult in his lesson: After all, God does not need the contribution of the Israelites - the whole land belongs to Him. Rabbi Pinto's answer touches the foundation of life that is relevant to each and every one of us.

Here are Rabbi Pinto's full words:

In this week's Parsha, G-d commands Moses to command the Israelites to donate silver and gold and precious things to build the Mishkan.

A strong difficulty must be made, for G-d is full of His glory, everything in the world belongs to G-d So why does God need people to donate money and gold, and because God needs money and gold for the Tabernacle, everything is His, God is a spiritual thing, why do we need money and gold to build the Tabernacle for what?

Why does God need the dachshund skins and create especially the species of the animal with the beautiful skin for His time only, after all God does not need all that, so why does He ask us to donate silver and gold to build the tabernacle?

And one can also ask, build a synagogue and expand it, make the most beautiful synagogue "This is to me and I will" (Exodus 15:2).

A person buys the best and most beautiful Kiddush cup, why do they need to recite mitzvos?

After all, God loves simplicity, it is the best thing,

But it is a great foundation for this. King Solomon King Solomon built the temple from all the good things, and all this for one thing, it is filled with love from the buildings of Jerusalem. The Almighty wants the love of the people.

Love is not something that can be given with a hand, a person who says with his mouth that he loves someone - maybe it's true or maybe not.

A person shows that he loves someone by taking the thing he loves and giving the thing, that's how he gives love.

The Almighty wanted people to donate their love to the Temple, their love they will give by donating the silver and gold, the things that are very dear and important to them and give it to the Temple, they gave their love. When a person loves something, he puts his love in The thing, when he gives the thing he loves, then he gave his love. "King Solomon made him a blessing." King Solomon built the temple "Its interior is full of love" He did everything to put the love of the people of Israel in the temple, that's why he took So is the silver and gold.

If this is how God wants the silver and gold for the churches, it is to me and it is not for the glory and splendor, which pleases God the glory and splendor. Rather, God wants people to take what they love and put in the temple, the love The Almighty wants. So giving to the synagogue, giving to the Torah and holiness, when the person loves the thing and gives the thing is called a donation.

G-d wants love "Give me your children in your heart" (Proverbs 23:20), wants love from the heart. The giving of precious things to the synagogue, to a Torah seminary, when you give love it shows that the person loves and that's what G-d wants , and this is what the Israelites contributed to the tabernacle of their love.

God wants the love of the Jew, that the blessing will be there and the Shekinah will be there where there is the love of the Jew.
