Four high-profile couples sat down with ELLE UK to reveal what makes their relationship work. Some just seem to have it all figured out: live together, work together, and look effortlessly chic while doing it.

Four of these couples are the it-girl Olivia Palermo and her husband Johannes Huebl, the top model Jenny Shimizu and the businesswoman Michelle Harper, the fashion blogger Alexandra Pereira and her husband Ghassan Fallaha, and the French influencers Théo and Rémy.

Each of these high-profile power pairs are rocking it as partners in both life and work, so we want to know… what's their secret?

1-Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl

This well-matched couple seemed to epitomize the early 2000s: influencers, known as much for their chic lifestyle and effortless style as they were for their career drive.

Today, Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl remain one of the most devoted couples.

But they've come a long way since they spoke to ELLE in 2011 about the early days of their relationship.

Now, entrepreneurs and designers (she just launched her own beauty line, while he just signed a creative partnership with a major shoe brand), sat down with us and told us the secret to her long-lasting relationship. .

ELLE: They have been married for 9 years.

They live and work together.

How are they as a couple?

Olivia Palermo: Each one of us has their own way of seeing the world, while still being on the same page.

When you live so close to another person, it's normal to be inspired by what they do.

Even when one of us is away, we always think about what the other would do in any given situation.

Some people call it learning, some call it inspiration, some call it empowering each other.

ELLE: What is your strength as a couple?

Johannes Huebl: Trust, communication, never holding back the other person and always being supportive.

Being able to count on each other is what allows us to go out and fulfill ourselves as individuals, to be the best version of each one.

2-Jenny Shimizu and Michelle Harper

They say opposites attract, and with Jenny Shimizu and Michelle Harper that certainly seems to be the case.

Supermodel Jenny was the iconic face of Calvin Klein in the 1990s, known for her flawless, minimalist style.

Since 2014, she has been married to businesswoman and advocate for Colombian women's empowerment, Michelle Harper, known in the celebrity world for her 'more is more' appearance.

We were invited to her Los Angeles home to reveal, between outfit swaps and jokes, how her differences are actually her superpower.

ELLE: Jenny, Michelle, how did you meet?

Michelle: We met at a party in New York at a friend's house.

Jenny appeared in her 'baseball player' look.

While I... well, as usual, I was more is more.

At the first meeting, I didn't understand her, so imagine my surprise when she started challenging everyone at the party to wrestling.

I never imagined that this woman who looked so different from me could behave so similarly.

That was, and still is, what made me appreciate being together so much.

ELLE: And how do two such different people stay together for so long?

Jenny: It's funny how people ask us that all the time.

As if it were unthinkable that two people could choose each other when they seem so different.

And on the surface we are different: our styles are opposites.

We are convinced that being opposites is the reason why we have been able to stay together so long and with such success.

3-Alexandra Pereira and Ghassan Fallaha

She was one of the first fashion bloggers ('I started 10 months before Chiara Ferragni,' she says proudly).

Together, Alexandra Pereira and Ghassan Fallaha have been partners in life and love since 2017 and recently became parents to Sasha.

We sat down with them at her home in Dubai to discuss what makes their partnership so successful.

ELLE: Alexandra and Ghassan, they've spent years together…

Alexandra: Yes, and there's been a wedding, two different careers, a different city, and in the last five months, a baby.

We have both achieved so much, we feel so grateful and lucky to have experienced it together.

We're always traveling, telling our fans everything, and we know we wouldn't be able to do it without each other.

We are a team.

ELLE: What is the secret behind your success?

Ghassan: Parenting is our greatest challenge and our greatest gift.

We share the same dreams and the same vision of the future, both for our business and our family, but also in the way we want to live our lives.

And both of us, in our individual ways (Alexandra is more impulsive and determined, Ghassan is more calm and thoughtful), bring something special to our relationship.

4-Théo Aïto Sánchez and Rémy-Sennah Dossou

Content creators Théo Aïto Sanchez and Rémy-Sennah Dossou are known for their stylish matching outfits.

Based in Paris and New York, with thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok, the couple are fresh off last season's whirlwind runway show, not forgetting a cameo on Emily in Paris.

We met Théo and Rémy in Paris during Fashion Week, where we helped them create one of their iconic looks.

Between outfits and accessories, they told us the secret of their strength as a couple, in love and at work.

ELLE: Théo and Rémy, do you remember the first time you chose a look for each other?

Théo: Oh yes, it was right after our first date in the Place Vendôme.

Rémy: Place Vendôme, a cliché, but what an unforgettable date!

Théo: In fact, we started working together right away.

Rémy, you asked me to be the artistic director of your first fashion show.

I remember, it made me feel so important that they chose me not only as his partner in life, but also at work.

Rémy: Yes, and at the same time, I made you my personal stylist.

Théo: That's right, you immediately took me out of my comfort zone.

Rémy: True, even today, I am the one who adds that spicy touch to our looks.

ELLE: What's the meaning of your matching outfits?

Rémy: Today, the pairing is what makes me feel good, makes me feel powerful.

Theo: Same thing.

When we walk down the street, hand in hand, with our combined gazes, I feel safe, as if nothing could stop me.

Rémy: In that sense, being a couple allows each of us to have a voice, to leave a mark, not only for ourselves, but for anyone who looks at us.
